Crew Lead / Senior Climber – Job Description

6-month contract to hire role. 40 hours per week. Hourly rate negotiable based on experience and certifications. Quarterly bonus based on revenue targets. Paid holidays. Company truck.

Location – Charlotte, NC. Preferably in or near one of the following zip codes:
28134, 28209, 28210, 28211, 28226, or 28278.

Basic job requirements:

1. 2+ years of climbing experience using modern techniques (DRT/SRT)

2. Ability to lead safe and efficient job sites with 1–2 ground crew

3. Experience with rigging, removals over structures, and complex pruning

4. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

5. Ability to pass a physical fitness test

6. Strong communication skills and professional presence with clients

In this role you will:

1. Lead residential tree removal and pruning jobs

2. Mentor and train entry-level climbers and ground crew

3. Operate and maintain climbing and rigging equipment

4. Operate chainsaws and supervise chipper safety

5. Ensure site cleanup, quality control, and client satisfaction

6. Work closely with the owner to develop processes and refine operations
