I found this picture online, and it sums up exactly what not to do when you're doing a tree pruning. When we prune, we want to maintain the upper part of the tree and prune from below. The upper part of the tree is called the crown. The crown is where the tree creates leaves that take in the sunlight and photosynthesis. If you remove the top part, the tree has to grow back leaves from other places that it never grew before, and that severely limits the tree's life. So if you wanted your tree to die sooner and have to get the whole thing removed. Do what they did in this picture? Certainly, we make our money on removals, but at the end of the day, we want to make sure trees are healthy, so don't prune this way. Thank you.Â
